Definitely not. There are many different styles of acupuncture and many different approaches to treatment. Some styles of acupuncture, such as those commonly practiced in community acupuncture clinics, tend to be rather brief when it comes to process of diagnosis and treatment planning. Such styles are also primarily concerned with alleviating physical symptoms.

The first session includes an in-depth intake reviewing your medical history, personal history, and current lifestyle, followed by an acupuncture treatment. One of the aims of the intake is to provide you plenty of time to articulate your reasons for seeking treatment. The lengthy intake is done to establish a panoramic view of you, as a unique individual, and to determine what will best serve you going forward. At the conclusion of the intake, you’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment.

There's really only one thing I ask, and that is you eat a proper meal before coming in for your first session.

You can you use your card to book directly through my site. This is a great way to spend FSA dollars that would go unused at the end of the year, or anytime !
